Markus Persson self taught himself how to code with java when he was under 14. His made his first game when he was 9: a text adventure. At first, Markus wanted to be a policeman or something, like any other young-un. Game programming was a past-time for him. However, by the time he was 14 or 15, he decided that he wanted to be a video game programmer. From 15 to 18, he studied Print & Media, design and font editing and copywriting. Markus then got a job at Game Federation, who were making middleware for digital distribution.
